Parrots, parrots, blackbirds, parrots, gumnuts (Summer 2012)


Why was her country so beautiful?  Why, she ate the
fruit straight off the trees, apple, apricot, plum, peach. Nuts.
Next to me on the City-link train, near, there, she wanted me to share
want, want, want    give

Water for the birds. Brightly coloured parrots,

Summershade, the woodlands that were there,
no longer there, just a wide open sky
A sigh of wind, what if and wish you were   here, there, near,   

Colour for the blue sky, a most gentle summer wind.   

Summershade, Warm Stone, Woodland Grey or Bushland
from the Colour Chart, Paperbark. Pale Eucalypt,
even a colour for wilderness   Wilderness.
